University (ABU) has crashed hours after
the institution’s vice chancellor, Professor
Ibrahim Garba, confirmed that Senator
Dino Melaye is a graduate of the school.
Dino Melaye is the senator in the heart of thescandal
The senator representing Kogi West had
been enmeshed in a controversial
certificate scandal which was exposed
by Sahara Reporters.
But NAIJ.com reports that Professor
Garba, who appeared before a Senate
committee investigating the scandal,
confirmed that Melaye graduated from
the institution, but with a different
name.
The confirmation had doused tension in
the camp of the senator as NAIJ.com
reported that he danced and mocked the
online medium just after he sent a
petition against Omoyele Sowore, the
publisher of Sahara Reporters, to the
Department of State Services (DSS).
Sahara Reporters reports that the
website crashed mysteriously.
A visit by NAIJ.com to the website
confirmed that it had indeed crashed.
“Not Found. The requested URL /
list_record.php was not found on this
server,” was displayed instead of the
original information.
