A secondary school in Chivi, Zimbabwe has
been shut down indefinitely over claims of
invasion of witches and evil spirits.
Nyaonde Secondary school has reportedly
been plagued with witchcraft activities which
has led to bizarre incidents, as students faint
mysteriously.
A local news platform, Zimeye news quoted a
parent who wished not to be named as linking
the evil spirits and witchcraft to torments
faced by the students.
The parent said, “Mysterious incidents have
been taking place at the school. Some pupils
passed out under mysterious circumstances
while a form two girl went into a trance for a
long time.”
A local Councillor in Chivi community, Wilson
Machingambi, disclosed that aggrieved
parents has withdrawn their children from the
school after the bizarre incidents and also
called on authorities to suspend school
activities.

The parents, however alleged that a new
schoolgirl was behind the acts of witchcraft
and that Goblins also manifested at the
school.
